This activity is taken from the NASA CONNECT education program, developed and managed out of the Langley Research Center, located in Hampton, Virginia. The activity has been saved as a PDF document and edited to show you only the hands-on classroom activity for review. Use the instructions below for viewing/printing this activity prior to completing the online rubric.

PC/Mac Downloading/Viewing Activity:
Please download the [PDF] Patterns, Functions, and Algebra pdf file (254 kb), by right clicking (PC), or CNTRL-clicking (Mac) on the link above and selecting "Save Target as..."(Internet Explorer) or "Save this link as..." (Netscape)  from the pop-up menu that appears. A new window will appear asking you where you'd like to save the PDF file to. Select a location, like the desktop, where you'll be able to find the activity once downloaded for printing.

Rubric Completion Instructions:
Once you have reviewed the activity, align it with the online Activity 1 Science as Inquiry rubric. A separate browser window will open displaying the rubric. You may need to maximize the window to see the entire rubric. Be sure to complete the entire rubric and provide any comments you feel necessary for each section of the rubric.
